Charging (Service Information): Generator: Installation
- Position the generator (2) to the engine and loosely install the upper and lower retainers (1).
Tighten the upper generator mounting retainers to 25 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten the lower generator bolt.
- Install the B+ cable (3) and nut (2). Tighten to 12 N.m (9 ft. lbs.).
- Install the generator field connector (1).
- Install the idler pulley (7). Tighten the bolt to 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.).
- Install the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .
- Install the lower belly pan.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the radiator cooling fans. Refer to FAN, COOLING, INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable.
