Sensor, Pressure Control: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable terminal from the battery post.
  2. Remove the engine cover.
  3. Disconnect oil cooler lines (1) from transaxle using Trans Cooler Line Disconnect (special tool #8875A, Disconnect, Transmission Cooler Line)

    Refer to TUBES AND HOSES, TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  4. Position oil cooler lines aside away from the valve body pan.

  5. Remove shift cable (1) from manual lever (2).
  6. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  7. Remove the solenoid pack connector (2) at valve body oil pan (1).
  8. Remove the front lower closeout.

  9. If equipped remove the fasteners (1) and the Front Sound Damper Cover (2).

  10. Remove the top valve body oil pan (3) bolts.
  11. Remove the lower valve body oil pan bolts (2) and drain transmission fluid.
  12. Remove the valve body oil pan.

  13. Disconnect the line pressure sensor wire harness connector.
  14. Remove the bolts (1) at the line pressure sensor.
  15. Remove the line pressure sensor from the valve body.
