Module, Electronic Shift (ESM): Removal

  1. Apply the parking brake.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the shifter bezel. Refer to BEZEL, SHIFTER, REMOVAL .

  4. Remove the fasteners (1) and lift the Electronic Shift Module (ESM) (2) up enough to allow access to the ESM wire harness connector.

  5. Disconnect the ESM wire harness connector (1).
  6. Remove the ESM from the vehicle.
