Module, HVAC: Installation

  1. Position the HVAC module (1) to the air inlet housing (4) and engage the module to the front retaining fasteners (2).
  2. Loosely install the fastener (5) that secures the rear of the HVAC module to the air inlet housing.
  3. Tighten all the fasteners that secure the HVAC module to the air inlet housing to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Connect the wire harness connector (3) to the HVAC module.
  5. Install the glove box trim panel and glove box. Refer to GLOVE BOX, INSTRUMENT PANEL, INSTALLATION .
  6. Install the right side instrument panel silencer. Refer to PANEL, SILENCER, INSTALLATION .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  8. Initiate the "Actuator Calibration" function using a diagnostic scan tool. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
