FOBIK Programming
Do not put a Laptop or other wireless device (cell phone, cell phone, audio device, and others) on top of or near the center console (between the seats to the dash). The Low Frequency (LF) antenna is below the center console and these devices may interrupt programming. Make sure that the key fob that is being programmed is inside the vehicle away from nearby consumer electronics. Disconnect aftermarket cell phone chargers before attempting to program the key fob.
The Radio Frequency Hub (RF-Hub) may be programmed to recognize up to a total of eight Finger Operated Button Integrated Keys (FOBIKs). When replacing or adding a FOBIK, the integrated key must be cut to match the door lock cylinder in the vehicle for which it will be used. Once an additional or new key has been cut, the RF-Hub must be programmed to recognize it as a valid FOBIK. When programming a FOBIK it may be necessary to have the vehicle Personal Identification Number (PIN). Always follow the instructions displayed on the scan tool screen.
