Module, Security Gateway (SGW): Removal

NOTE:
If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, use a diagnostic scan tool to perform the Flash Programming Procedure (if available).
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL
.NOTE:
The Security Gateway Module (SGW) is mounted to the instrument panel on a bracket behind the steering column opening cover.
- Remove the nuts (1) and disconnect the SGW wire harness connectors (2).
- Remove the module from the vehicle.
