Module, Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFLS): Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Locate the Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFLS) module (1) near the right front corner of the Power Distribution Center (PDC) in the right front corner of the engine compartment.
  3. Release the AFLS module latch tab by pressing it toward the PDC.
  4. While holding the AFLS module latch tab in the released position, pull the module upward to disengage it from the blade-type mount (2) integral to the right front corner of the PDC bracket.
  5. Disconnect the headlight and dash wire harness connector (3) from the AFLS module connector receptacle.
  6. Remove the AFLS module from the vehicle.
