Module, Memory Seat (MSM): Removal

NOTE:

The scan tool standardization process must be performed on the Memory Seat Module (MSM) any time a new MSM is installed, or the existing MSM is updated.

NOTE:

Depending on vehicle options, the amount of MSM wiring harness connectors may differ.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the MSM (1) wiring harness connectors (3 and 6).
  3. Disengage the rear MSM retaining tabs (5 and 7) from the bracket (8) by carefully pushing the rear of the MSM upward.
  4. Disengage the front MSM retaining tabs (2 and 4) from the bracket by pulling the MSM rearward.
  5. Remove the MSM from underneath the driver seat.
