REINITIALIZATION And Obstacle Detection Calibration

PROCEDURE 2: Re-initialization & Obstacle Detection Calibration 

Procedure 2 must be followed to re-initialize sunroof and calibrate obstacle detection when one of the following are true: 

  1. Set vehicle ignition to ACCESSORY or start engine.
  2. Press and hold the sunroof CLOSE switch until the sunroof glass panel is fully closed, release switch.
  3. Press and hold the sunroof CLOSE switch again. After 10 seconds the re-initialization process will be begin; do not release switch.
  4. The sunroof glass panel will move into the vent position then stall and stop motion.
  5. Release the sunroof CLOSE switch, then press and hold it again within 5 seconds, do not release switch.
  6. As the sunroof CLOSE switch is held, the sunroof glass panel will move to the fully closed position, then to the fully opened position and then fully closed again.
  7. Once all sunroof motion has stopped release the sunroof CLOSE switch, re-initialization and obstacle calibration is complete. Note: If the switch is released prior to the sunroof completing all operations described the entire procedure must be repeated.
  8. Confirm sunroof express operation (press & release switch) is functional for open, vent and close operations.
