Module, Blind Spot (BSM): Installation

Slide the Blind Spot Module (BSM) into the mounting bracket, on the rear bumper fascia.
NOTE:
Make sure to install the BSM in the direction shown in illustration. Otherwise, improper blind spot functionality and/or BSM faults may occur.

NOTE:
The BSM must be slid into bracket, do not attempt to snap the BSM into bracket.
Insert tabs, opposite the connector, and index the left side into the clips with pressure on the fastener. Apply pressure over the fasteners on the right side to seat in the other clips.

Insert the fastener (1) into the right rearward blind spot module boss.
Connect the rear bumper fascia wire harness connector (2) to the BSM.
Install the rear bumper fascia onto the vehicle. Refer to FASCIA, REAR, INSTALLATION .
Connect the negative cable to the battery.
With the scan tool, verify no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are present.
Test drive vehicle and verify the proper function of blind spot system functions (if functioning improperly verify that the blind spot system is active in the radio option menu).
Verify no DTCs are present, after the test drive.
