Module, Security Gateway (SGW): Removal
NOTE:
If a new Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being installed, use the scan tool and perform the Flash Programming Procedure (if available).
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove passenger side cowl panel. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, SIDE, REMOVAL

- Remove the fasteners, passenger silencer panel (1), and disconnect the wiring harness connector.NOTE:
The Security Gateway (SGW) Module is mounted to the Heating Venting and Air Conditioning (HVAC) case on the passenger side.
- Remove the bracket bolts (2) and disconnect the SGW Module wiring harness connectors (1).
- Remove the screws (1) securing the SGW Module to the bracket.
- Remove the SGW Module from the vehicle.
