This diagnostic runs continuously when the following conditions are met:
- Ignition on.
- System voltage message received over Controller Area Network (CAN) is between 10.0 and 16.0 volts
- If system voltage over CAN is not available, Electronic Shift Module (ESM) sensed voltage is used and must be between 6.0 and 16.0 volts.
- No CAN Dedicated Powertrain (DPT) Bus Off Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) set.
- The ESM is programmed.
- The Transmission Control Module (TCM) is available on the CAN bus.
This diagnostic runs continuously when the following condition is met:
- Ignition is on.
