Module, Adaptive Cruise Control (Acc): Installation

NOTE:

If the ACC module is removed from the bracket, align the module to the bracket so that all four fastener locations are properly seated. Use the given fasteners to secure the ACC module to the bracket.

  1. If removed, position the ACC mounting bracket (2) to the vehicle for installation. Install the bolts (1) that secure the bracket to the vehicle and tighten securely.

  2. Install the bolts (1) securing the ACC to the module mounting bracket. Tighten the bolts securely.
  3. Connect the wire harness connector to the ACC module connector receptacle.
  4. Install the center front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. Perform the required calibration procedures. Refer to MODULE, ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
