Module, Body Control (BCM): Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL .

  3. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1) from the Body Control Module (BCM) (2).

  4. Remove the fasteners (1) that secure the BCM (2) and bracket to the instrument panel.

  5. Lower the BCM and bracket (1) from the instrument panel.
  6. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (2) on the backside of the BCM.
  7. Remove the BCM from the vehicle.
  8. If necessary, remove the BCM from the BCM bracket.
