Module, Forward Facing Camera Half: Removal

NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the interior rear view mirror trim covers (1) to gain access to the Forward Facing Camera-HALF (FFC-HALF).

  3. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the FFCM-HALF.

  4. Release the side retainers (1a) for the support, from the side guides (1b) of the FFCM-HALF (1c).
  5. Turn the FFCM-HALF in the direction shown by the arrow and remove it, freeing it from its seat on the mounting.
