The Radio Frequency Hub (RF-Hub) (1) is a primary component of several standard and optional electronic systems in the vehicle. The RF-Hub is a Radio Frequency (RF) and Low Frequency (LF) receiver, containing controlling logic for a number of systems and communicates with other electronic modules and nodes in the vehicle over the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus as well as over a private serial bus. There are several models of the RF-Hub that support various markets. Different signal supporting options include automatic transmission, manual transmission, rotary ignition system using the Ignition Node Module (IGNM), Passive Entry Keyless Go (PEKG) system using smart door handles, Keyless Ignition Node (KIN), and remote start.
