Module, Transmission Control (TCM): Description

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) also incorporates the Transmission Control Module (TCM) on 62TE equipped vehicles.

Perform the PCM/TCM quick learn. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), MODULE PROGRAMMING . The quick learn is mentioned within the 62TE verification test which should be reviewed. Refer to appropriate service information .

For replacement of the PCM/TCM, refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), REMOVAL .

NOTE:

Swivel seats that are unlocked can also prevent the transmission gear selector from being moved out of the PARK position. To shift the transmission out of the PARK position the first time after cranking is allowed, ensure swivel seats are locked in the forward facing position.
