Module, Transmission Control (TCM): Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the nut (1) for the left kick panel (3).
  3. Remove the fasteners (2, 4) from the kick panel.
  4. Remove the kick panel (3).

  5. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1, 3) from the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
  6. Remove the TCM bracket fasteners (2).

  7. Gently pry out on the release tab (2) and lift up on the upper TCM bracket end (1).

  8. Gently pry out on the release tab (2) and pull down on the lower TCM bracket end (1).
  9. Remove the TCM by sliding it out from the mounting bracket.
