Module, Security Gateway (SGW): Installation

NOTE:

If a NEW  Security Gateway (SGW) module is being installed, use the diagnostic scan tool to flash the module. Failure to flash the module will leave the SGW module in a locked mode preventing SGW module operation.

  1. Position the SGW module (3) to the glove box assembly (4).
  2. Install the SGW module fasteners (1) and tighten the fasteners securely.
  3. Install the glove box assembly. Refer to GLOVE BOX, INSTRUMENT PANEL, INSTALLATION .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  5. If a NEW  SGW module is installed, use the diagnostic scan tool to flash the SGW module.
