Module, Security Gateway (SGW): Removal

NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, use a diagnostic scan tool to perform the Flash Programming Procedure (if available).

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
Remove the lower glove box assembly. Refer to GLOVE BOX, INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVAL .

Remove the fasteners (1) from the Security Gateway Module (SGW) (3).
Remove the SGW (3) from the lower glove box assembly (4).
