Outlet, Power, 12 V: Removal
NOTE:
Both front and rear 12 volt outlets are removed the same way.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Using special tool (special tool #9857, Remover, Power Outlet) Power Outlet Remover (4), insert the tool with tips against the retaining clips (1).
- Pull out the power outlet base (3) through mounting ring by gently rocking pliers.
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (2).
