Module, Blind Spot (BSM): Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative cable from the battery. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector before disconnecting the negative cable from the battery.
  2. Remove the rear bumper fascia from the vehicle. Refer to FASCIA, REAR, LOWER, REMOVAL . The Left Blind Spot Sensor (LBSS) and the Right Blind Spot Sensor (RBSS) modules are now mounted to the rear fascia. Partially remove the fascia to disconnect the harness from the appropriate sensor module.

  3. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the appropriate sensor module (2).

  4. Depress the latch (1) and slide the sensor module out of the bracket.
