Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the steering column in the vehicle. Install the four steering column nuts (1), and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS  .

  2. Connect the steering column to the steering gear and install the lower steering column pinch bolt (1).
  3. Connect the seven electrical connectors.
  4. Install the upper and lower steering column cover. Refer to SHROUD, STEERING COLUMN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Install the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
