Diagnostic Test
- VERIFY THE DTC IS ACTIVE NOTE:
Diagnose all CAN B and C communication DTCs before continuing.
- CHECK FOR SAS DTCS
- With the scan tool, read DTCs in the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Module.
Are there any SAS DTCs present?
Yes
- Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX .
No
- Using the schematics as a guide, check the Drive Train Control Module (DTCM) pins, terminals, and connectors for corrosion, damage, or terminal push out. Pay particular attention to all power and ground circuits. If no problems are found, replace the Drive Train Control Module (DTCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, DRIVETRAIN CONTROL (DTCM), REMOVAL .
- Perform DTCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTCM VERIFICATION TEST .
- With the scan tool, read DTCs in the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Module.
- INTERMITTENT WIRING HARNESS AND CONNECTORS
- The conditions necessary to set this DTC are not present at this time.
- Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring harness and connectors.
- Wiggle test the wiring harness and connectors while monitoring the scan tool data relative to this circuit.
- Look for the data to change or for the DTC to reset during the wiggle test.
Were any problems found?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform DTCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTCM VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Test complete.
