Gear Shifter Assembly Installation

1 - Shifter Bolt Location

Position the shifter assembly and tighten shifter bolts to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

1 - Electronic Shift Module (ESM) Wire Harness Connector
Connect the ESM wire harness connector to the shifter.

1 - Shift Cable End

2 - Shift Cable Lock Collar
Pull the lock collar to engage the shift cable to the shifter.
Connect the shift cable end to the shifter.

1 - Tow/Haul Switch Wire Harness Connector

2 - Shifter Bezel Retention Tabs
Connect the tow/haul switch wire harness connector.
NOTE:
Make sure the shifter bezel retention tabs are in place on the bezel.
Attach the shifter bezel to the instrument panel by snapping it in place.

1 - Shift Knob Screw
Install the shift knob to the shifter and tighten the shift knob screw securely.

1 - Shifter Boot

2 - Shifter Boot Trim Ring Tabs
Slide the shifter boot trim ring up until the shifter boot trim ring tabs snap in place to the shift knob.
Pull the shifter boot into place on the shifter boot trim ring.
Install the cup holder support bracket.
Install the center instrument panel cupholder assembly. Refer to CUPHOLDER, INSTRUMENT PANEL, INSTALLATION .
Install the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, INSTALLATION .
