U197C-83 Implausible Data Received From Transmission Control Module Can Message TRANSM2 Integrity Error - Value Of Signal Protection Calculation Incorrect

NOTE:

The Scan Tool may display the description name of this Diagnostic Trouble Code differently with the following below: 

MESSAGE COUNTER CRC FAULT ON TRANSM2 FROM TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE MESSAGE - VALUE OF SIGNAL PROTECTION CALCULATION INCORRECT

The COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE MUST  be performed before replacing any component(s) or module(s). Perform the COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE. Refer to: COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .

NOTE:

Treat this DTC as a IMPLAUSIBLE SIGNAL DTC when performing the COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE.
