Checking Fluid Level

Vehicle must be level, with engine at normal operating temperature. Ensure gearshift lever is in "P" position. Add enough ATF to bring fluid level to lower mark on dipstick. With engine idling (in "P" position) fluid level should be full, between upper and middle marks of dipstick (HOT range). See Fig 1 . Insert dipstick fully into tube to prevent dirt from entering transaxle.
