Steering Column Attaching Bracket Measurement
The steering column attaching bracket is equipped with break-away capsules. See Fig 1. Measure clearance between capsules and bottom edge of slots in attaching bracket. The clearance must not exceed .065" (1.65 mm). Replace steering column jacket if clearance between capsules and bracket slots is greater than specified.
