Coolant Temperature Sensor

1. Remove engine coolant temperature sensor and immerse in hot water.
2. Connect a suitable ohmmeter across terminals of sensor.
At 68°F resistance should be: 2210-2690 ohms
At 176°F resistance should be: 264-328 ohms
3. If not within specifications, replace sensor.
