Rotor Open Or Short Circuit Test: Turbo
- Remove rotor from alternator. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity across rotor slip rings. Reading should be 3-5 ohms. Replace rotor if damaged no continuity exists or if resistance is not within specification.
- Check continuity between individual slip rings and rotor core. If continuity exists, replace rotor assembly.
