Abs Amber Warning Lamp Circuit Failure
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAM.
- If ABS warning light glows continuously with ignition on and MAIN RELAY/POWER CIRCUIT FAILURE is not set, go to TEST 2B. If ABS warning light glows continuously and MAIN RELAY/POWER CIRCUIT FAILURE is set, go to TEST 14A. If ABS warning light does not glow continuously, go to next step.
- Inspect fuse No. 14. See Fig 1 . If fuse is open, repair short to ground in fused ignition feed wire. Replace fuse No. 14. Perform TEST VER-1A. If fuse is okay, go to next step.
- Reinstall fuse. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on both sides of fuse. If reading is less than 10 volts, repair open in ignition feed wire. Perform TEST VER-1A. If reading is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect CAB 37-pin connector. See Figure . Inspect, clean or repair connector as necessary. Turn ignition on. If ABS warning light glows, replace CAB. Perform TEST VER-1A. If ABS warning light does not glow, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect message center connector. See Figure or Figure . Inspect, clean or repair connector as necessary. Inspect ABS warning light bulb. If bulb is faulty, replace bulb. Perform TEST VER-1A. If bulb is okay, go to next step.
- Turn ignition on. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on Dark Blue/White wire at message center connector. If reading is less than 9 volts, repair open in Dark Blue/White wire to message center. Perform TEST VER-1A. If reading is more than 9 volts, repair open in Light Green/Orange wire to CAB. Perform TEST VER-1A.
