Test 13C - L-R Pressure Switch Sense Circuit

NOTE: Perform TEST 13A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagrams, see WIRING DIAGRAMS . Perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Disconnect solenoid pack connector. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance at terminal No. 4 on inline 8-pin connector (transmission side). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair L-R pressure switch sense circuit for short to ground. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, go to next step.
  2. Using external ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminal No. 4 on inline 8-pin connector (harness side) and terminal No. 2 on solenoid pack connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace solenoid pack. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open L-R pressure switch sense circuit.
