Test SC-11A - Checking Speed Control Relay Output

NOTE: Perform TEST SC-7A  before proceeding.
  1. Disconnect speed control relay. Speed control relay is located in Power Distribution Center (PDC). PDC is located in left rear corner of engine compartment. Brake lights must be operational to proceed. Go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage of speed control relay control circuit at speed control relay connector (Dark Green wire). While observing scan tool display, depress brake pedal. If voltage is more than 9 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 9 volts or less, repair open on speed control relay control circuit between speed control relay and brake switch. Perform TEST SC-VER .
  3. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of speed control relay ground circuit at speed control relay connector Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace speed control relay. Perform TEST SC-VER . If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open speed control relay ground circuit. Perform TEST SC-VER .
