Description & Operation

With the ignition switch in RUN position, battery voltage is applied to the master power window switch via the Electronic Timer Alarm Control System (ETACS) Electronic Control Unit (ECU). ETACS-ECU is located behind lower left corner of instrument panel.

The driver's power window switch provides power and ground for the passenger's power window switch and motor. The master power window switch contains a solid state control unit that allow the driver's window to be completely lowered with one press of switch. A lock switch prevents passenger's window operation.

The ETACS ECU allows windows to be operated for approximately 30 seconds after the ignition key is turned to OFF position. Windows will not operate when doors are opened.
