Transmitter Will Not Open Trunk Lid
- Ensure trunk latch mechanism operates by activating trunk release switch in glove box. If latch does not operate, repair as necessary. See DOOR LOCKS & TRUNK RELEASE - POWER article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section. If latch operates, go to next step.
- Using voltmeter, check for a voltage pulse at terminal No. 2 on RKE module Black connector. See Figure . Press transmitter TRUNK release button twice within 5 seconds. If voltage does not pulse, replace RKE module. If voltage pulses, repair circuit to trunk release solenoid. See WIRING DIAGRAM .
