Test SC-11A: Checking Speed Control Relay Output

NOTE: Perform TEST SC-7A  before proceeding.
  1. Disconnect speed control relay. Speed control relay is located in Power Distribution Center (PDC). PDC is located in left rear corner of engine compartment. Ensure brake lights are operational before proceeding. Using external voltmeter, measure voltage of speed control relay control circuit between speed control relay connector terminal No. 2 (Dark Green wire) and ground. While observing scan tool display, depress brake pedal. If voltage is 9 volts or less, repair open on speed control relay control circuit (Dark Green wire) between speed control relay and brake switch. Perform TEST SC-VER  . If voltage is more than 9 volts, go to next step.
  2. Using external ohmmeter, measure resistance of speed control relay ground circuit between speed control relay connector terminal No. 4 (Black wire) and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace speed control relay. Perform TEST SC-VER  . If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open speed control relay ground circuit (Black wire). Perform TEST SC-VER  .
