Sensor, Camshaft Position: Installation
- The camshaft position (CMP) sensor O-ring (1) can be reused if not damaged.
- Apply a small amount of engine oil to the sensor O-ring (1).
- Install the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor (1). Tighten bolt (2) to 9 Nm (80 lbf-in).
- Connect and lock the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor wire harness connector (1).
- Install the oil separator housing (4) to the cylinder head cover with three bolts (2) tightened to 13 Nm (115 lbf-in).
- Connect the vent hose (3) to the cylinder head cover.
- Connect the PCV hose (1) to the intake manifold.
- Install the air cleaner body (1). Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .
- Install the negative battery cable and tighten nut to 5 Nm (45 lbf-in).
- The Cam/Crank Variation Relearn procedure must be performed using the scan tool anytime there has been a repair/replacement made to a powertrain system, for example: flywheel, valvetrain, camshaft and/or crankshaft sensors or components.
