Sensor Assembly: Replacement
- Remove instrument panel pad to gain access to sensor. On Mark V models, remove right instrument panel applique.
- Carefully disconnect air inlet elbow, vacuum connector and control cable. On Mark V models, control cable will have to be disconnected after the sensor is removed from mounting.
- Remove retaining screws and remove sensor. On Mark V models, bracket is removed with sensor.
- To install, rotate sensor control arm to position notch in arm at calibration pin (75° position). See Figure.
- Rotate plastic calibration locking pin so if engages notch in sensor control arm.
- Attach assembly to panel and reconnect air inlet tube elbow. Conned vacuum connector.NOTE: On Mark V models, control cable will have to be connected and adjusted before sensor is installed.
- Position temperature lever control cable with pigtail away from sensor assembly. Adjust control cable as previously outlined. Install instrument panel pad.
