CALIBRATIONS: All with CFI and EFI
Electronic Control Assemblies (ECA/Processor) manufactured prior to March 5, 1984, can cause the subject drive concerns. Self test service codes may not always be evident.
1. To isolate these concerns consult the diagnostic routine index Volume H of Shop Manual for appropriate symptom and perform the routine indicated.
2. If both the On-Demand and continuous self tests show service code 11, perform CFI/EFI Pin Point Test A, page 25-8, Volume HC.
3. If complaint was "Loads & Smokes", check engine oil for fuel contamination and spark plugs for fouling. Replace oil filter and spark plugs as necessary.
