Ignition Control Module: Description and Operation

Thick Film Ignition Module:

This Ignition Module is mounted on the outside of the distributor housing with two screws.

Ignition System Wiring Diagram:

It is electrically connected to the pick-up coil assembly without using a wiring harness between the module and the pick-up coil. Once receiving a signal from the pick-up coil assembly it turns the ignition coil primary circuit On and Off causing high voltage in the secondary to fire the spark plugs.
