Preliminary Information

Some vehicles may be equipped with a new graphics software for fuel computer/system scanner module. Display shown will depend on graphics package in vehicle. Both sets of graphics are shown. See Fuel Computer/System Scanner Module Self-Test Displays.

Enter self-test mode by holding in "FUEL ECON" button in and turning ignition switch from "OFF" to "RUN". Advance through tests by pressing "FUEL ECON" button.

A tone and a "P" or "NORMAL" on display indicates that test has passed. No tone and an "F" or "LIFTGATE AJAR" and "TAIL LAMP OUT" on display indicates that test has failed. Test number is indicated in the tenths digit of fuel computer display. Exit test mode by completing the last test or by turning ignition off.
