Inside Mirror

  1. Position transmission shift lever in "PARK" position. Turn ignition switch to "RUN" position and mirror switch to "AUTO" position. To check mirror operation, cover photocell on back of mirror case with a Black cloth.
  2. Using a flashlight, shine light on photocell window on lower right half of mirror control panel. Mirror should cycle from normal to non-glare. When light and cloth are removed from photocell, mirror should return to normal position after about 5 to 15 seconds.
    NOTE: If backup light switch is stuck closed, mirror will not operate.
  3. If mirror does not operate, check fuse and replace as necessary. If fuse is okay, remove connector from rear of mirror. Ensure voltage is present at harness connector circuits. Check all circuits for continuity and shorts to ground. If mirror still fails to operate, replace mirror.
