Control Module Check

  1. Turn ignition off. Locate service diagnostic connector in upper glove compartment. Connect fabricated EVO service diagnostic lamp to service connector. See TESTING  for tool fabrication. See Fig 1 . Start engine.
  2. When the engine starts, the control module should light the diagnostic lamp for one second. This indicates control module and bulb are functional.
  3. If lamp lights for one second, proceed to QUICK TEST A2  . If lamp does NOT light for one second, proceed to QUICK TEST E1  . If lamp flickers, proceed to QUICK TEST E1.
