Overhaul Notes & Cautions

DO NOT interchange application with older model alternators.
Never use an electromechanical voltage regulator.
DO NOT replace 500-ohm resistor (located behind instrument cluster) with a 15-ohm resistance wire on vehicles equipped with warning indicator light.
Ensure field terminal connector is installed on field (FLD) terminal stud and not ground stud.
Never polarize or test alternator by grounding field circuit.
