Overhaul Notes & Cautions
- DO NOT interchange application with older model alternators.
- Never use an electromechanical voltage regulator.
- DO NOT replace 500-ohm resistor (located behind instrument cluster) with a 15-ohm resistance wire on vehicles equipped with warning indicator light.
- Ensure field terminal connector is installed on field (FLD) terminal stud and not ground stud.
- Never polarize or test alternator by grounding field circuit.
