Control Unit

Assorted switches and sensors provide the Electronic Control Assembly (ECA), with engine operating information required for accurate fuel control. Based on information received, the ECA attempts to control the air/fuel ratio at 14.7:1; the optimum ratio for reduced exhaust emissions. The ECA also controls some functions of the evaporative emission, ignition and deceleration systems.
