Removal (5.0/5.8/7.5L)

  1. Open hood and install protective covers. Remove fuel tank cap. Locate and disconnect electrical lead at fuel pump relay, inertia switch, or in-line high pressure fuel pump.
  2. Crank engine for 10 seconds. If engine starts, all to idle until engine stalls. Crank engine an additional 5 seconds after engine stalls. Turn ignition off. Reconnect electrical lead that was disconnected in step 1). Disconnect negative battery cable.
  3. Remove upper intake manifold assembly. See UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD & THROTTLE BODY. Carefully disconnect electrical lead(s) from injector(s). Remove injector(s) from fuel supply manifold by using a slight twisting/pulling motion.
