Removal & Installation (5.0/5.8/7.5L)
- Loosen fuel tank cap. Disconnect electrical lead at fuel pump relay, inertia switch, or in-line high pressure fuel pump.
- Crank engine for 10 seconds. If engine starts, allow to idle until engine stalls. Crank engine an additional 5 seconds after engine stalls. Reconnect electrical lead that was disconnected in step 1). Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Remove upper intake manifold and throttle body assembly. Disconnect fuel supply and return line connections at fuel supply manifold.
- Remove fuel supply manifold retaining bolts. Carefully disengage fuel supply manifold from fuel injectors. To install, reverse removal procedure. See Fig 1
