Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

Removal

1. Disconnect battery cables, then remove battery tray.
2. Disconnect electrical connector from module.
3. Remove module mounting bolt, then the module. To release module from tear-drop hole in right inner fender apron, slide assembly up.

Installation

1. Insert rivet of module into tear-drop mounting hole on fender apron and push into position.
2. Install retaining screws, then torque screws to 22-31 inch lbs.
3. Connect electrical connector to the module.

4. Install the battery, then connect battery cables.
