Control Module Check

  1. Turn ignition off. Locate service diagnostic connector in upper glove compartment. Connect fabricated EVO service diagnostic light to service connector. See TESTING  for tool fabrication. See Fig 1 . Start engine.
  2. When the engine starts, the control module should illuminate the diagnostic light for one second. This indicates control module and bulb are functional.
  3. If light illuminates for one second, proceed to QUICK TEST A2  . If light does NOT illuminate for one second, proceed to QUICK TEST E1  . If light flickers, proceed to QUICK TEST E1.
