Section 5 (Anti-Lock Brake System): Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1990 Ford Probe and 1989 Ford Probe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) functions to modulate fluid pressure to individual wheels to prevent wheels from locking under hard braking conditions. System uses an ABS control module (mounted under driver's seat), a hydraulic actuation assembly containing an actuator and solenoid valves, and a wheel speed sensor at each wheel.
